Internship pathway

Mentorship can prepare you for work. It should not sell you a guaranteed job.

Where Fuchsius has suitable projects, supervision capacity and approved internship openings, selected mentorship participants may be invited to a separate internship evaluation or application process.

Internship pathway

Process

A clear, staged approach.

  1. 01

    Mentorship progress review

    Evaluate evidence from mentorship work.

  2. 02

    Opportunity check

Confirm whether a suitable approved internship opening and mentor capacity exist.

  3. 03

    Separate selection

Use a role-relevant interview or assessment where appropriate.

  4. 04

    Internship offer

Provide written role, duration, schedule, work mode, compensation and expectations.

  5. 05

    Internship delivery

Work on appropriately scoped tasks under supervision with periodic reviews.

  6. 06

    Completion review

Document performance and future development areas.

Principles

Mentorship completion does not automatically create an internship entitlement.

Any internship must have separate written terms.

Selection should consider demonstrated skill, conduct, attendance where applicable, availability and business need.

Internship duration, hours, work mode and compensation must be stated in the specific internship terms.

An internship does not automatically guarantee permanent employment.

Candidates should not be required to pay a recruitment fee in exchange for an internship or job offer.

Readiness Signals

Can complete scoped work with decreasing supervision.

Uses version control and delivery tools responsibly.

Explains technical decisions.

Responds constructively to review.

Demonstrates reliable communication.
